Devs about Piton de la Fournaise

The seismic station of Observatoire Volcanologique du Piton de la Fournaise (OVPF) registered an increasing trend of seismic activity at the volcano since 28 August and is slightly intensifying for now.
20 volcano-tectonic earthquakes were detected on 28 August, 24 quakes on 29 August and 41 quakes on 30 August. These low-magnitude (less than M 1) earthquakes were located at depths between 1.5 and 2.5 km.
The elevated seismic activity followed a pattern of continuous inflation, that has lasted more than 7 months, at the top and base of the edifice. Its distribution is likely compatible with a center of pressure within a magma reservoir at about 1.5-2 km depth.
