News from Lake Taupo
The seismic swarm at the Taupo lake area continues. A small number of shallow earthquakes have been felt by locals and GeoNet scientists today. The area is well-known for its seismic activity which may refer to tectonic origin. Source: GeoNet New Zealand volcano activity update 31 May 2022
