The PVMBG volcano observatory lowered the alert level for the volcano to Level 1 today, as seismic, ground deformation, thermal and gravimetric data have showed signs of a decreasing activity over the past half year.

The seismic station recorded 1 deep, 1 shallow, 5 local and 83 volcano-tectonic earthquakes during 1-29 Jun.
A gas and steam plumes have been observed rising above 20-60 m above the peak since 1 January.
People and tourists are advised to avoid the crater area within 1 km radius.
