Bezymianny volcano (Kamchatka): ash to 4,5 km altitude and pyroclastic flows

The extrusive eruption at the volcano continues at elevated levels.

The local observatory KVERT reported that a new viscous lava had been oozing out into the existing lava dome and formed a "dome on top of the dome".
An unknown-shaped (likely hill-shaped) mass of the unstable extruded dome resulted into small avalanches today that lifted dense dark ash plumes up to 4,000-4,500 m (13,120-14,760 ft) altitude and drifted about 90 km to the west of the volcano.
