Update Sep28:

seismic crisis resulted in M 4.2 quake yesterday, uplift has reached 15 mm over past month

A swarm of earthquakes occurred beneath the Campi Flegrei caldera yesterday.
Starting early morning at 05:06 local time, about 64 quakes have been recorded with a maximum magnitude of M 4.2, the INGV reported.
The epicentre of the largest event was located between Pozzuoli and Bagnoli area at 2.7 km depth.
Mauro Di Vito, the Director of the INGV Vesuvian Observatory declares: "The dynamics of Campi Flegrei is being constantly monitored by monitoring stations. Geophysical and geochemical parameters indicate the ongoing inflation. The ground has been bulged by 15 mm per month in Rione Terra, the area of maximum uplift. Even the analysis of the planimetric deformation data of the ground does not show significant variations compared to the characteristic radial shape from the central area of Pozzuoli. At present, there are no elements that suggest significant evolutions of the system in the short term, without prejudice to the fact that any future variation in the monitored parameters (seismological, geochemical and ground deformations) may lead to a different evolution of the hazard scenarios."
